PURPOSE

This webinar will provide information on the two types of tasks included in the TOEFL iBT® Speaking section (Independent and Integrated) and demonstrate how teachers can leverage AI to enhance students' preparation for success in this section. Both speaking scoring rubrics and skills needed for success will be reviewed to determine what makes a successful response and around what learning objectives the classroom activities should be built to help students communicate effectively when speaking. There will also be time for Q&A. The webinar will be recorded and shared with all registrants.

Thanks to attending this webinar, you will:

  • Understand how both the Independent and Integrated TOEFL iBT Speaking tasks work and how AI could support preparation
  • Explore the TOEFL iBT scoring rubrics used to rate speaking responses
  • Discover example activities with learning objectives that correspond to the speaking section requirements
